The Constitution gives us the right to defend ourselves from hostile threats including a tyrannical, authoritarian regime if necessary. The second amendment must be preserved to maintain our liberty and “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”. That’s worth repeating, “shall not be infringed” when the first amendment doesn’t work anymore we have the second amendment is in place to make sure we can take our country.
